Church and Convent of the Carmine

The Carmine church, annexed to the former Carmelite convent, is located in the historic center of Oristano, in via del Carmine. This small church is considered the most significant work of Piedmontese architect Giuseppe Viana, as well as the highest expression of Rococo in Sardinia. The Carmine complex is now the seat of the UNO Consortium, a.k.a. the University of Oristano.
