Church of Santa Lucia

Overlooking the crossing between streets Via Parpaglia and Alberto Lamarmora, deep in the old town of Oristano, stands the Church of Santa Lucia, a building dating back to centuries XVI and XVII, built together with the adjacent monastery of Cappuchin Nuns. The church sends a neoclassic feeling, simple, austere and elegant. The front ends with a tympanum evoking Greek temples, and is held by four imponent pillars leaned onto the wall. Today the Church of Santa Lucia is the official seat of the Gremio dei Muratori, as it used to be centuries ago.
