Church of San Nicola / Oratorio delle Anime

The Oratorio delle Anime (Oratory of Souls), an ancient church to San Nicola, is located in the town of Massama, a hamlet of Oristano. It is a small building with a free Greek cross, and represents an interesting example of a medieval Sardinia monument. Its layout could date back to the early medieval period, while all subsequent interventions supposedly are from the Romanesque period, probably starting from the first half of the 13th century.
