The Corrias-Carta palace is the noblest of all nineteenth-century palaces in Oristano, conceived and designed by architect Gaetano Cima. It is one of the greatest expressions of nineteenth-century civil architecture in Sardinia. Its unmistakable neoclassical facade in bright shades stands in Piazza Eleonora d’Arborea, one of the most beautiful and famous squares in Oristano, the center of which is dominated by the statue of the Giudicessa. The Corrias-Carta building stands in all its glory on the eastern side of the square.
