The monastery of Santa Chiara is one of the oldest and most important ecclesiastical institutions in the city, and nevertheless, a testimony and a protagonist of Arboreal history. The church was built in Gothic style in 1343, and still retains the ancient apse and plenty of remains of the ancient monastery. The emblems of the ruling family are still evident in the arch of the apse and in an ashlar located on the facade of the church, above the entrance door.
